Chief Commercial Officer

Salem Shunnarah is the Chief Commercial Officer of XO Health, responsible for business development and client success. 

Prior to joining XO, Salem served as EVP & GM of Health Plans & Systems for Virgin Pulse, and before that, held a variety of business development leadership roles at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem Inc.), where he was instrumental in helping the company exceed membership targets. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for the health and welfare and retirement plans at a jumbo employer before moving into benefits consulting at Hewitt Associates which was acquired by Aon. Through this work, Salem developed expertise in employer benefits strategies, business development, management consulting, sales, and client management. 

Salem believes that now is the time to change the way that employers and employees experience health care and is confident that XO’s knowledgeable and respected team can be the ones to do just that.
