How long we keep your health information
We keep the health information you share with us only as long as our records-retention policy and applicable law require — generally 7 years after your coverage with us ends, per our internal retention schedule.
Why we can’t always delete health records on request
Laws that govern health information require us to keep certain records for a set period of time, even if you ask us to delete them sooner. This protects continuity of your care and isn’t something we can opt out of. It’s different from information like a newsletter sign-up or a general contact-form message, which isn’t a health record and which you can ask us to delete at any time.

• Ask us to correct something in your record that’s wrong or incomplete
• Find out who we’ve shared your health information with
• Ask us to limit certain uses or sharing of your information
• Request deletion of information that isn’t part of a health record (like marketing preferences), at any time
What happens when we’re done with a record
Once a record’s required retention period ends, we securely and permanently destroy it — we don’t hold onto health information longer than we’re required to.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. We will notify you about material changes to this Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the e-mail address you provided to us or by placing a prominent notice on the XO Health website.
